About Us - WHWB - UK

Introduction

WHWB-UK is the UK branch of WHWB International. WHWB international (Workplace Health Without Borders) as a not-for-profit organisation, to help address occupational health and hygiene issues in the developing world. Founded in April 2016 the WHWB UK branch have been working to develop a platform from which to launch projects aiming to improve the occupational health provision where it is needed most.

WHWB has the goal of engaging volunteers in improving workplace health in those regions of the world with under-served worker populations. Our focus is to provide:

  • workers and employers with technical assistance,
  • training and skills development to help them develop capacity and infrastructure to manage and improve the health conditions in their workplaces.
  • We also hope to help NGOs in developing countries to integrate occupational health into their projects.

WHWB-UK works on projects and provides expertise to assist WHWB International and develop projects to further the aims of WHWB internationally.

Vision

WHWB-UK believes in a world in which workers, their families and local community don’t get sick because of their work.

Mission

To engage the occupational health profession in ensuring that workers and employers throughout the world have the knowledge and means to prevent work-related disease (and injury).

Core Values
