Privacy Policy
Privacy is an important issue for every Internet user. WHWB is committed to assuring that the privacy and confidentiality of visitors to this site are respected and preserved. Unless you give us permission, we will not share your personally identifiable information such as name, address or e-mail address with third parties, outside of WHWB, for any purpose. Any information gathered from your activity on this site by the web software we use is used by that software for compiling anonymous statistics only and is not traceable back to any individual site visitor. Site registration information is only used for sending administrative e-mails to users regarding this web service, and for sending informational e-mails to registered users concerning WHWB projects, upcoming meetings and teleconferences.
Collection, Use, Disclosure of Information: WHWB does not collect personally identifiable information about you unless you choose to provide such personally identifiable information through an online form or e-mail communication or when you are accessing user-specific, secure content, such as a whwb.org email account. The website software uses cookies to ensure authorized access to user-specific secure content. Cookies and their use are explained below. When accessing specific secure content, you are acting as an individual user (and not as an agent of your employer). Your actions on our site are governed by our relationship agreement with you as a user.
Our site software may automatically create logs regarding your and other user sessions on the website, such as the features and the information that you access. This information is used only in aggregate form for statistical assessment of the performance of the site, to better understand user priorities and interests.
WHWB will never sell, distribute or disclose personally identifiable information collected from you to third parties without your explicit consent. However, we may release information to a third party if required by legal process such as subpoena or search warrant. Please note that visitors to whwb.org are not required to provide any personally identifiable information to use the public areas of our site. Public areas are all areas accessible without registration on the site.
Use of Cookies: Cookies are small snippets of code stored on a user’s hard drive that contain information about that user. In the case of access to content or site features that require site login, we use a cookie that contains your login information, to ensure that your user-specific information is secure from unauthorized access. We use an encrypted cookie to track user access to user-specific secure content. Please note that you can view and delete these cookies using the features of your web browser if you wish to do so. If you require assistance in using these features you may obtain that information by contacting your browser publisher.
Choice and Data Access: If you register on the site so as to make comments or post information, you can view and modify your personal profile information in the secure user area of our site. Although there is no requirement for you to do so, we encourage you to include one or two sentences describing your work activities in the biographical details box in the profile. This is primarily to ensure you are a person and not a Spambot.
Data Security/Integrity: WHWB has physical and electronic security in place to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only two authorized officers of WHWB have access to the profile data you have provided and that access is limited by need. These two persons who have access to the data you provided have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of such information and not to share it with others without your consent.
Notification of Changes: If we materially change our privacy practices, these changes will be posted here 30 days prior to their implementation.
Contacting Us: If you have any questions concerning this privacy statement, please contact WHWB at info@whwb.org.
