In addition to wishing  you a happy new year, we want to let you know about three WHWB members who were recently honoured for their dedication to occupational health.

  • Simon Smith received the Award of Merit from the Canadian Standards Association, in recognition of his vast expertise and commitment to developing standards for respiratory protection.
  • Dorothy Wigmore received the Eula Bingham award for excellence in OHS training. Read more about Dorothy’s many accomplishments here.
  • Lydia Renton received the Alice Hamilton award from the American Industrial Hygiene Association. This award is presented to an outstanding woman who has been engaged in industrial hygiene and occupational health for at least 10 years and is dedicated to public and community service, social reform, and technological innovation.

Congratulations to Simon, Dorothy and Lydia!  And Happy New Year to WHWB members and friends, with wishes for a peaceful, healthy year ahead for all!
